How Biothane Boutique Began

Born from a passion for adventure and a love for dogs.

Biothane Boutique was founded in 2023 by an avid hiker and proud dog mom to two energetic Australian Shepherds. After years of frustration with dog collars and leashes that would get soggy, dirty, and smelly during outdoor adventures with dogs, we discovered Biothane material.

We were immediately impressed by Biothane's waterproof, durable, and easy-to-clean properties. What started as making custom collars for our own dogs quickly turned into requests from friends and fellow dog owners at the local park.

With a background in design and a passion for quality craftsmanship, we began creating handmade Biothane dog gear from our home workshop in Ontario, Canada. Our commitment to quality, attention to detail, and focus on customer satisfaction quickly earned Biothane Boutique a reputation for excellence.

How we create your dog's perfect adventure gear

Material Selection

We begin by selecting premium Biothane material in your chosen color and width. Biothane comes in a variety of thicknesses, and we choose the appropriate type based on the product and your dog's size.

Precise Measurement & Cutting

Each piece is carefully measured and cut to the exact specifications needed for your order. For custom sizes, we pay extra attention to getting the measurements just right.

Hardware Installation

We use only high-quality, durable hardware that complements the strength of Biothane. Each buckle, D-ring, and snap hook is securely attached to ensure it won't fail even during rigorous use.

Quality Control

Each product undergoes a thorough inspection to ensure it meets our standards for durability, functionality, and appearance before it's packaged for shipping.

Premium Biothane

We use only genuine Biothane® from BioThane Coated Webbing, the original and highest quality coated webbing available. This PVC-coated polyester is:

Non-absorbent (no more wet dog smell!)
